Monaco Copilot in Slack
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Ask about your pipeline, prepare for meetings, draft follow-ups, and update CRM records without leaving Slack.
Copilot uses your connected Monaco data, so you can bring account context into a team discussion or handle a quick task in a DM.
Copilot runs on the Monaco Slack app. For workspace setup, channel syncing, and notifications, see Slack Integration.
What You Can Do
Use case | Example prompt |
|---|---|
Catch up on an account | "Summarize our latest conversations with Acme and the next steps." |
Prepare for a meeting | "Help me prepare for tomorrow's meeting with Acme. What should I follow up on?" |
Review pipeline | "Which open opportunities haven't had activity in the last two weeks?" |
Draft a follow-up | "Draft an email after our latest Acme meeting. Don't send it." |
Create a task | "Create a task for me to follow up with Acme this Friday." |
Update a deal | "Update Acme's renewal opportunity close date to October 30, 2026." |
Results depend on the data and integrations available in your Monaco workspace. Name the account, deal, and date range when possible.
Get Started
Confirm with your Monaco team that Slack Copilot is enabled for your workspace.
In Monaco, open Settings → Integrations → Slack → Connect and authorize the workspace. Your Slack admin may need to approve it.
Use a Slack account that matches your Monaco account's email.
Open a DM with the Monaco app and ask your first question.
Already connected to Slack? You may need to disconnect and reconnect Slack. See Reconnecting Older Slack Connections.
Channel selection during setup is for channel syncing. You can skip it to start with DMs.
How Copilot Identifies You
Monaco matches your Slack email address to an active Monaco account in the organization connected to your Slack workspace. This applies to the person mentioning @Monaco in a channel or messaging the app directly, not the person who added the app.
Copilot only answers questions or takes action if a matching account exists. If no match is found, it shows an account-matching message instead of processing the request.
Use It in a Conversation
In a DM: Send your question directly to Monaco.
In an internal channel (public or private): Add Monaco, then mention
@Monacowith your request. In an existing thread: Mention
@Monacoto bring it into the discussion. Mention it again for each channel follow-up.Keep related questions in the same thread. Start a new thread for a different topic.
Copilot shows progress while it works and replies in the thread. You can stop your running request. If it asks a multiple-choice question, select your answer and click Send. Only the person who made the request can answer that card.
Before You Use It
Actions can happen immediately. Slack Copilot runs in Auto mode. Requests to update records or send messages can execute without another approval step. If you only want a draft or recommendation, say so explicitly.
Channel replies are visible to everyone in that channel. Use a DM for sensitive account information.
Adding Monaco to a channel also enables syncing. The Slack integration can import that channel's history into Monaco. Only add it to channels you intend to connect.
Current Limitations
Copilot works only in internal channels (public or private) and direct messages with the Monaco app. It does not work in Slack Connect channels shared with another organization, even if the person asking has a Monaco account.
It handles one request at a time per thread. Wait for the answer before sending another request.
Long threads may have incomplete context. Include the key details in your request.
Slack file uploads are not passed to Copilot as attachments. Use text prompts rather than relying on an uploaded document or screenshot.
Slack conversations do not appear in Monaco's web chat history.
Slack supports text responses, progress updates, and choice questions, but not every Monaco screen or review form.
If Monaco cannot match your account, check your Slack and Monaco email addresses. If it says chat is not enabled, contact your Monaco team.
